'Bye Bye Babylon is Cryoshell's fifth song, first single as a band and their first single off their self-titled album. It was released on iTunes on July 27th, 2009 for $0.99. An alternative version of the song was used as the soundtrack for LEGO's BIONICLE 'Glatorian Legends' toyline and the direct-to-DVD movie BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn. Judging by the lyrics the song is about resisting, and ultimately eliminating powerful empires using Babylon as an example.

Music Video[]

The music video for Bye Bye Babylon was filmed in North Copenhagen harbour on May 14th, 2009 and was released the following Summer on Cryoshell's official website. It is discribed as "An epic, musical quest through a post-apocalytic industrial wasteland. A day of trash, dirt and muddy water." An alternative version of the video was featured as an extra on the BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn DVD.

The band's version of the video begins with lead singer Christine Lorentzen's hands scavaging in a wastland and dipping them into a bucket of muddy water, before wipping it on the ground, as the song begins. Lorentzen is then seen dragging a drum behind her on a piece of rope, as she begins to sing the first verse of the song. Clips of the rest of the band and/with Lorentzen are shown in different shots, including Mascus Busborg, the drummer of the song and a guitar on fire.
